Holborn School Of Motoring was established in 1965, we are the oldest independent driving school in central London. Over the years we have taught many thousands of people to drive safely, responsibly and confidently. We are well known and respected in our local community having taught up to three generations of the same families. Our satisfied customers recommend us again and again and a recent survey conducted showed that over 80% of our customers are personally recommended by friends and family whom we taught to drive.

If you’re serious about learning to drive then you have come to the right place, we’ve been doing this for over fifty years. Our DVSA fully qualified and DBS checked instructors have extensive experience in providing professional tuition plans specifically for each individual pupil.

We are proud to be part of the multiculturalism of Central London and so we offer tuition in a number of languages in addition to English including: Italian, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Urdu, Punjabi, Albanian and a little French.

I had an amazing experience learning to drive with Holborn Driving School. My instructor, Taj, was absolutely brilliant — patient, clear in his instructions, and always encouraging. He really helped build my confidence on the road and made every lesson enjoyable and productive by structuring lessons around what I needed.Thanks to his expert guidance, I passed my driving test with only 1 minor! I can’t thank Taj enough for his support and professionalism throughout the whole process. Would definitely recommend!

Great experience. Big thanks to Roberto for being an amazing instructor. Everyone there was very helpful, and the lessons, in my opinion, are very well targeted to the needs of the students.I passed after about 3 and a half months of lessons and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks to George for teaching me to drive in the UK. We went through six months of lessons which was invaluable for me and I was able to pass my test first time!He helped me through each different section of the UK licence exam, working up from left/right turns through dual carriage ways and roundabouts. When I applied for the driving school the instructor I was assigned took me for two lessons and I noticed that he was making me repeat a lot of things instead of adding new additional content. I asked him after 2 weeks how many lessons he thought I would be ideal before having a driving test and he responded that at least 40 hours of lessons. I decided to stop the lessons and go to another academy in where I did 20 hours and pass the first time. I am not gonna say that the instructor or teaching was bad but holding pupils just for monetary advantage and making people pay more than they should cannot be a business priority.

Passed first time, Shefi was my instructor - he is absolutely brilliant. Very calm and understanding, he is incredible at his job but more importantly a very lovely man. I ended up taking my test in Richard's car after 2 lessons with him and he is just as good at his job and again also a lovely man. This shows regardless of who your instructor is you will get a great teacher and a great person to not only learn from but also be able to get on and have a laugh with which is just as important in my eyes.

I've been taking lessons with Elisio for several months. We have progressed from me panicking and scared of every changing road condition to passing today the test at the very first attempt with two minors.I have literally thought that I will never be able to drive after having bad experiences with instructors from other schools. But Elisio was patient, calm, knowledgable, patient, smart, gentle, understanding, meticulous to sharing all the details I needed to know before the exam, patient and kind. He supported me through this journey like no other person has, and made me believe that I can do it - and somehow I DID! Thank you so much!!!

Roberto and Elisio are both excellent teachers. Starting lessons again after a few years' break, I felt very supported and gained my confidence back quickly.
