Holborn School Of Motoring was established in 1965, we are the oldest independent driving school in central London. Over the years we have taught many thousands of people to drive safely, responsibly and confidently. We are well known and respected in our local community having taught up to three generations of the same families. Our satisfied customers recommend us again and again and a recent survey conducted showed that over 80% of our customers are personally recommended by friends and family whom we taught to drive.
If you're serious about learning to drive then you have come to the right place, we've been doing this for over fifty years. Our DVSA fully qualified and DBS checked instructors have extensive experience in providing professional tuition plans specifically for each individual pupil.
We are proud to be part of the multiculturalism of Central London and so we offer tuition in a number of languages in addition to English including: Italian, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Urdu, Punjabi, Albanian and a little French.

Do not hesitate any longer, Blert is the instructor you NEED.

Holborn School of Motoring provide a professional, first-class and efficient service. They are very pleasant to deal with and extremely thorough with their driving tuition. My son had Khurram as his instructor and had his first test last week: he passed! This was after around 50 hours tuition; I think the average is around 40-45 hours. It is a financial commitment, but this being the case whichever driving school you choose, I have no hesitation in highly recommending Holborn School of Motoring. Thank you to all who work there.

Just passed first time with Elisio, with 2 minors! So grateful to him. Brilliant instructor - calm, patient, encouraging, explains everything clearly, and helps you iron out mistakes! Found the learning process nerve-wracking at points, but Elisio helped me to slowly build my confidence up, and I'm amazed by how far I've come.

Did about 40hrs of lessons with Elisio. Felt very prepared for practical and passed first time.
Having previously had a couple of sessions with other instructors, I'd say he's an excellent instructor, and excellent company to boot - which is important when you're spending that much time together.
Highly recommend this school / instructor to others.

I couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor than Shefi. He helped me pass my test first time, and I honestly don’t think I could have done it without his guidance. He’s incredibly patient, calm, and reassuring, even when I doubted myself.
What I really appreciated was how he knew exactly when to push me to improve and when to give me confidence. His explanations were always clear, and he made every lesson feel productive and stress-free.

Last year I had bad experience of another driving school.

I’m so happy to say I passed my practical driving test FIRST time thanks to Holborn Driving School. After making little progress with a previous school, I switched and started lessons with Elisio, and it was the best decision I could have made. He’s an excellent instructor – patient, attentive, and always makes you feel at ease. His teaching style is clear and encouraging, and he really gave me the confidence I needed to pass. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor and highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive.

Khurram is a great driving instructor! His lessons were practical, detailed and methodical. He kept giving me lots of helpful corrections and advises until the very last moment before the test to hold my driving up to a high standard. During the test I felt well-prepared and passed the first time.

I’m really happy to say that I passed on my first try! A huge thank you to my instructor, Blert, who supported me every step of the way. He’s not only a great teacher but also a genuinely fantastic person.
I was quite nervous and anxious about starting driving lessons, but Blert stayed calm, patient, and really helped me build the confidence I needed. He made sure I understood how to handle all kinds of situations safely and clearly explained everything in a way that made sense.

I moved to London a couple of years ago and heard horror stories around getting your license. My experience thanks to Taj has been exactly the opposite. I called the school and was put in touch with Taj. He is an excellent teacher and a fantastic person. Although a prior driver, he was able to work with me get my bad habits out and make me a safer/better driver. I passed my test on the first try and the process was seamless from first go.

Thanks to George for teaching me to drive in the UK. We went through six months of lessons which was invaluable for me and I was able to pass my test first time!

When I applied for the driving school the instructor I was assigned took me for two lessons and I noticed that he was making me repeat a lot of things instead of adding new additional content. I asked him after 2 weeks how many lessons he thought I would be ideal before having a driving test and he responded that at least 40 hours of lessons. I decided to stop the lessons and go to another academy in where I did 20 hours and pass the first time. I am not gonna say that the instructor or teaching was bad but holding pupils just for monetary advantage and making people pay more than they should cannot be a business priority.

Passed first time, Shefi was my instructor - he is absolutely brilliant. Very calm and understanding, he is incredible at his job but more importantly a very lovely man. I ended up taking my test in Richard's car after 2 lessons with him and he is just as good at his job and again also a lovely man. This shows regardless of who your instructor is you will get a great teacher and a great person to not only learn from but also be able to get on and have a laugh with which is just as important in my eyes.

I've been taking lessons with Elisio for several months. We have progressed from me panicking and scared of every changing road condition to passing today the test at the very first attempt with two minors.
I have literally thought that I will never be able to drive after having bad experiences with instructors from other schools. But Elisio was patient, calm, knowledgable, patient, smart, gentle, understanding, meticulous to sharing all the details I needed to know before the exam, patient and kind. He supported me through this journey like no other person has, and made me believe that I can do it - and somehow I DID! Thank you so much!!!
